PMC says: Unable to play any of the files. I say: Arghh
« on: January 31, 2009, 08:52:10 pm »

Just signed up for Preformer Media Center subscription a few weeks ago.

Love it.

Last week I logged in and tried to play some music.  I got this warning:

"Performer Media Center was Unable to play any of the files.
To repair your player library, please re-import content.....blah, blah, blah."

Alternatively, if I try to download I get this message:

"Your account does not appear to have device transfer rights.  Please contact customer service."

...which is exactly what I'm doing.

I just installed the latest version and am still getting the same crap.

Help?

Thanks!

Sorry for the troubles Anna.

Are you playing songs from inside the Performer Media Center store, or from your local library?  Is it logging in alright?

Is it showing the device transfer warning when you try to put files on a device, or just when you try to play?

Thanks.

Hey Matt!

I was just trying to play from the store.  I can log in just fine.  I haven't put files on a device yet.  I did get a message saying my computer wasn't an authorized device and that my account had 0 authorized devices so far...or something like that.

That's a pretty cute puppy!

Thanks for the help.

Hi Anna,

Sorry about the poor error handling, it should have told you that your subscription account was canceled on January 16th and then allowed 30 second sample playback.
Do you remember canceling, or is this an error? Our transaction record on the server shows you signing up on Jan 4th and canceling on the 16th.
