syncing and gapless playback
« on: March 11, 2009, 09:20:45 am »

When I sync my mp3 music collection to my 80gb iPod Classic using iTunes, all the songs that are supposed to be gapless are gapless. But when I sync using Media Jukebox (v12.0.49), there is a small gap between songs that should be gapless. Is there any fix for this? I would love to be able to abandon iTunes altogether, but at this point I have to use MJ for ripping and organizing, and iTunes for syncing. Please help!

I don't think there is a fix for this.

iTunes uses it's own gapless algorithm and stores that info in a special iTunes tag when music is ripped from iTunes.

I'd love it if MC came up with it's own algorithm, or at the least searched for and inserted iTunes tag info into the iPod's database when uploading files.

This topic should be in another section though, I'm pretty sure.
