Portable Install: DVD Rip Cover Art Disappearing

When playing Ripped DVD's from a machine with different drive paths to a portable install (ie not the machine i usually use) cover art for the DVD which is playing disappears.

When I start MC up, the cover art is all there fine.  However when I play the movie, the cover art disappears.
After this I can do a cover art quick find and it comes back again.

I'm starting to use the portable install as a quick way to take my collection with me.  I plug it into my laptop on my travels.  One day I'd love to fit it all on an SD-XC card... I think I've got a long wait however.
