saving different volume levels for zones?
« on: April 27, 2009, 11:53:33 am »

I just upgraded to MC13 and a new server.  Running multiple zones (on a M-Audio 1010LT).  For some reason, the different zones have significantly different volumes.

I'm able to compensate in MC13 by switching to each zone and adjusting the volume slider on the top of the screen.  However, when I exit and re-open MC13 it brings the volume for each zone back to 100%.

What's the best way to set different volume levels for each zone, and have them remembered the next time MC13 opens?

Thanks!

You might double-check your DSP settings.  Replay Gain, for example, may be enabled in one zone but not the other.

If you use 'Internal Volume' (from the Volume menu), you can have independent volumes for each zone that will persist across runs and reboots.

That helps, thanks!

On a side note - is there an easy way to swap betweee zones?  Would be nice if there were shortcut icons somewhere on the interface to toggle between them.

Ctrl+T, right-click the DSP Studio icon at the top right, or add the zones toolbar button.

(p.s. in a future build, it'll be a left-click on the DSP Studio icon at the top right in the player because we've merged left and right-click functionality for simplicity)
