Flickr uploader bug? - FIXED
« on: June 02, 2009, 01:12:06 pm »

Something about this image (right click, save as...) is causing the MC flickr uploader to bomb out.

The log entry goes like so:
Quote
0367032: 4160: General: FlickrUploader::UploadPhoto: Starting Upload
0469094: 4160: General: FlickrUploader::UploadPhoto: Upload Photo Flickr Response - <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>
<rsp stat="fail">
   <err code="96" msg="Invalid signature" />
</rsp>]

Flickr's own uploadr software delivers the file without a problem.
Could it be something to do with the pound sign in the caption perhaps?

I set MC uploading 111 photos at over 500 megs and went to bed. Thankfully, this file that it failed on was third from last. Apart from  this one file, the uploader worked as expected.

As mentioned already in the release thread, there is no progress dialogue with the uploader.

The progress thing should be fixed.  I have a bandaid that just whacks the '£'.

This should be fixed.  Let me know if it breaks other uploads.  But you can safely upload images with '£'.

confirmed, or at least, I successfully uploaded the offending image, complete with its '£' sign.
