just switched computers -didnt want quicklime-i tunes on my new one-however i'm unable to play previously downloaded m4a & mp4 files without a prompt to download quicktime. is this the only way to play them? i read the thread regarding a similar issue in mc12.
should i download qt? thanks j ?

In addition to what the wiki says, you also need to tell MC to use DirectShow.  Tools > Options... > File Types

super. thanks for the helpful link. i find wiki & forum a bit difficult to navigate. otherwise when i was searching the subject i wouldnt have posted in the forum- wiki had the answer.im sure i will eventually get it.in time thanks for your help. j
