media server rocks
« on: July 12, 2002, 06:07:12 am »

Hello JRiver,

Thanks again for adding support for all file types to Media Server.  Media Server rocks!  I am down in my basement listening to my music that is stored upstairs on another machine.  Even with 70MB files (wav) for some tracks, there is little delay between tracks when it downloads.  This is too stinkin' cool...all for the ridiculously low price of $25.

Thanks!

As an experiment, you might try converting a few files to APE.  It will have exactly the same sound and will be about half the size.  It's a lossless encoder, so if you convert a file back to wav, it's the same as the original.  There is an APE (Monkey's Audio) encoder on our encoder plug-ins page.
