CD lookup failed

as a German user I apologize for my poor English. Today I installed the latest version of MC and tried to rip several CDs. But I got no result when MC tried to find out some information about the CD. Always I got the error message 'CD lookup failed', even when I deactivated the windows firewall and my virus scanner. What more can I do? (Audiograbber delivered the correct information connecting to freedb.org).
