MC doesn't see tracks on Phillips GoGear
« on: October 04, 2009, 08:15:23 am »

I just purchased a Phillips GoGear, and got it all set up on MC.  The transfer went fine and music plays on it.  Later, I went to add some more music, and MC showed that there were no tracks on it.  It did know that some memory had been used, but couldn't see the tracks.  I had MC set to sync with some playlists, but since MC doesn't think there are any tracks on the GoGear, it it tries to reload all of them.
I did load an album using Rhapsody (wma w/ DRM) and it does show up when I hook up w/ MC.
BTW, when I hooked up to Rhapsody, Rhapsody was able to see all the tracks that were loaded.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I really want to be able to sync w/ MC.

Check the setting in MC here:

Tools/Options/Libary/Options/Fix Broken Links

Set it to "Protect Network Files".  This will tell MC not to remove the files if the drive isn't available.

MC is already set to protect network files in the options.  The music on the GoGear is not removed when I connect w/ MC, MC just doesn't seem to know that it is on the GoGear (MC does seem to be able to keep track of the total memory used and available on the GoGear though).
