WMV playback failure

When I try to play wmv-files in MC12 I get a code 0x80040209 error message saying that there is no connection between the certain pins? What is that and what do I do? I've tried to go in pick different filters..

Do the files play in Windows Media Player?

Yup, they do.

Edit: No wait, suddenly they don't! Had no video problems lately, and didn't think the problem was universal therefore. I'm gonna reinstall the codecs and see if it helps, then report back.
