Auto import on DVD tags
« on: December 15, 2009, 08:55:28 pm »

It does not appear that auto importing (or forcing a manual run) will update the library from tags on files.  In other words, MC doesn't scan the xml tagging file.  Can this be changed to update tags?  I am adding meta data to content but it doesn't get found so I have to manually scan for tag changes.  When I do update the library, all the cover art flashes too.  This is troublesome on updating a large library.  The cover art field contains folder.jpg before and after the update--it is updated but doesn't really change.

What format is your xml tagging file?  If a JRSidecar file already exists, MC will only load info from that file.  If you want tagging info loaded from an MyMovies file, you have to delete the JRSidecar file first.

I'm using the JRMedia center file.  I haven't ever added MyMovies xml.  All MC all the way.

They are stored as /[Name]/VIDEO_TS/.....

The data is in "VIDEO_TS JRSideCar.xml" adjacent to the video files.  It is not modified from what MC outputs on its own.
