Remote Library Sync Not working
« on: January 01, 2010, 04:24:22 pm »

Hi,

MC 14.0.118
Windows XP SP 3 on server and client

Syncing changes from a client to a library server does not work

I can easily connect to a remote server and play any music and play-lists on the server from the remote.

I can NOT change anything on the server from the remote.. I have tried the library sync for a new playlist, edit an existing playlist and change 'meta data' without success.

I have set the JRiver folders to 'shared' with 'allow updates' on the server computer.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Re: Remote Library Sync Not working: Connected Media from server to client?
« Reply #2 on: January 02, 2010, 07:52:55 pm »

Tnx,

Would like to see this resolved.... access my library as much remotely as I do on the server.

Also found that "Connected Media" web pages are not saved on the remote from session to session and do not seem to come across with the shared library....This would be nice as I use MC as my i-net radio front end and if I create a radio link on the server it should show up on the remote!

Guess it has been noted so will hang in a wait for a fix.

Happy New Year!

It has been a while since I checked but it now looks like a remote client can sync a library's playlist; add, delete, edit etc.

Not sure when this started working but glad to see it.

Would it be too much to ask for an optional auto sync?

THANK YOU  ;D
