Media Jukebox 8.0.317 is available:

Please back up your library and your license (version 7 licenses only; version 8 licenses can be restored from our web page -- see the FAQ for more info).

History:
1. Fixed: Media Jukebox was unable to retrieve artist info from MP3.com stream.
2. NEW: Added support for additional command line parameters.
3. Fixed: Media Jukebox would crash in TV Tuner if there is no video capture device on computer.
4. Fixed: File name created for compilation CDs during ripping was incorrect.
5. Fixed: WAV files created during format conversion were not deleted right away.
6. Fixed: Base Path in Rename from file properties could be empty.
7. Fixed: Caption of MP3 configuration windows was incorrect.

The tab-order is wrong on the Plug-In Manager > Input > 1)MPC, 2)MP3 and 3)CDA Plug-In Configuration dialogs...very critical...haha.

If "Clear Recently Imported Playlist on Exit" is enabled and there are no recently imported items, clicking on the "Recently Imported" icon shows ALL of the songs in ALL playlists.

hummm nice Jimh like that one in my language. You guys really need a vacations and then MJ9 this version ( MJ8 ) is more than ready to me, i have recorded, encoded, tagging...bla bla bla the only thing i don't use is the server, and i don't find any errors or "terrible" bugs

i think the same way, one correction the name of that music is "Sonho Meu" Caetano Veloso is a Brazilian singer the singer more "international" of my country is Amália Rodrigues or Carlos do Carmo, they sing "fado"

Looks like 8.0.317 tries to access CDDB twice and fails (hangs MJ) on the second attempt. Installation of 8.0.309 resolved the problem.

i had another situation i insert a cd and the logo of gracenote beggins then MJ crashed, the system reboot itself and when i tried again was fine...grrr i think is because XP.

Well, now the Directory Rule is back to using the Artist insead of the Album Artist again!

Can't you just add another option in the Directory Rule and Filename Rule's list boxes for Album Artist? That way users can choose between Song Artist & Album Artist, and better still, you'll get me to stop B%#$@in.

Also, can confirm, hangup after retrieving CDDB info. MJ retrieves info from CDDB, then hangs before displaying it in the view window. I have to Ctrl/Alt/Del to close MJ. When I re-open MJ, the album info is there. So it gets the info, but hangs after that.

I don't follow. [Album artist] is [Artist] if there is no [Album artist] specified.

Can you give a more detailed explanation of what's happening, and what you expect to happen?

I have a problem with a very persistent dialog.
When I use "Rename files from properties" there’s confirmation dialog after choosing save with three choices where u have to confirm that u really want to move the file.
This dialog just wont go away – I have to click it like a hundred times and very fast to make it go disappear.
I had the CDDB prob to.
