Video options makes MC crashing
« on: March 01, 2010, 02:05:21 pm »

Hi,

I've an issue with MC14. Each time I click the "video" item in the Tools>Options dialog, MC crashes and I got the vista message saying that MediaCenter has stopped working.

I've enabled the logging but I have not found anything about that issue.

Any idea?
thx in advance,

It is possible that some filters crashed when MC tried to enumerate DirectShow filters for DVD playback.

Please email me a log.  yaobing at jriver dot com

Thanks for the log.  The problem was indeed a bad-behaving filter during DVD filter enumeration.  I am working on a solution.

I have a similar issue - When selecting the video option, MC14  LOOKS like it has crashed but give it time (several minutes) and it does come up. Once the Video dialogue has been displayed once, selecting again works normal speed.

Not sure if its related but when i try to play a video (mp4) the first time after MC has been started it again looks like MC has crashed, but give it several minutes and the video starts playing fine. Again once you have played one video, playing all others after that are OK.

I first noticed this after upgrading from MC 13 to 14. 13 was unning fine, upgraded (and did nothing else) - first video played after the upgrade takes FOREVER to start.
