Still training on your system
« on: April 29, 2010, 12:58:56 am »

:-[ I have been trying for a week to ask questions about JRiver.com

Lets see if this works now.

I need to know if the price is for 49.99 for a year for 6 months/?

Do I need to download the jukebox in order to hear the music?

Will I be able to burn Discs when I do purchase?

Welcome to Interact,

The license is a purchase model not a rental model, so if you pay 49.99 for Media Center 15, you will be able to continue using  version 15 of the software you've purchased for ever.
You will get free upgrades up until the next Major release.  So when JRiver release Media Center 16 you will need to either pay for an upgrade, or decide to stick with version 15.  Version 15 will continue working however, but with much fewer bug fix releases.

JRiver seem to move to new major releases every 6-12 months.
Disc burning is definitely included in Media Center.  There is a free 30 day trial of Media Center available, which shows it's features over Media Jukebox.
Media Jukebox is a cut down version of Media Center.
Media Center does not require Media Jukebox.

:-[ okay So, let me get this straight I pay only 49.95 one time charge until we have to upgrade to a better music system that media center upgrades to if I want? So, no yearly payments if I dont want to?

and is it compatable with ANY MP3 MP4 WITH A 16 GB?

You got it!

49,95$ as a one time charge.
No yearly payments.
No force to upgrade to a new version.

and is it compatable with ANY MP3 MP4 WITH A 16 GB?
Give it a try! You can download and install MediaCenter and use all its features for 30 days without paying any fee. After that you can decide wether to buy or to uninstall it.
