Customize View
« on: May 14, 2010, 05:42:33 pm »

Say I have (2) directories for movies and (1) directory for Shows.
I can create to subcatagories under Video called movies & shows.  Now, if I want to have shows list only shows I can customize the view and select "file path" under "show categories in this order".
However, I can't get this to work with my movies since there are 2 directories that need to be shown.
How can I get my movies sub to not list any shows?

Thanks!

In the customise view dialogue, look under "Advanced" on the right hand side and click on "Set rules for file display"

Click on the "Add Rule" button...

Set the new rule to: Filename (path) | does not contain | shows

(assuming that all your shows are in a directory called, erm, shows!!) If not, I'm sure you can tweak it from there to work for you?

Perfect!

I was trying the same exact thing but using the shows full directory path as the "does not contain" instead of just the name "shows".
Am I to understand that I was not to use the full directory path (F:\Shows) and only use the final folder (Shows)?
Seems odd, but it works :)

In any case, thank you!
