Why Remote Control Commands support only first Zone?
« on: June 07, 2010, 02:36:02 pm »

Hi,

When I try to assign commands to Remote Control, MC shows me only two options for zones switch:
- Set Zone 1 (or whatever the name)
- Toggle between Zones

If I have more than one Zone, then MC doesn't show me option automatically of switching directly to let's say Zone 2, nor allow me to create new command to switch other Zone.

Can you please check and let me know if this limitation is by design or bug?

BR, Janis

i think you can use every mcc command. you can find them here: http://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Media_Center_Core_Commands
mcc 10011,2 will jump to zone for instance. also note the end of the list to see how to control a zone that has no focus.
in remote add custom and add run will bring you to a screen where you can put mc15.exe in the first line the parameter in the second line.

 :)

The next Media Center build will have much better support for setting the current zone via remote.
