My remote is an Adesso ARC-110. Its a cheap Windows Media Center remote. The error only shows when I press the yellow button. I had assumed it was related to where I mapped it (Theater View Home), but that's not the case. Even if I reset all commands to default, the number box still pops up if I press the yellow button (which on this remote.... has a TV icon on the button). Haven't had this problem with any other buttons.... and the yellow button works fine with Windows Media Center on another PC. I've disabled media center on my main MC PC.
It started when I updated MC to either 80 or 87. After updating MC my remote commands were gone. I restored several backups (with settings) to no avail. I re-learned the few commands I need (Theater View home, jump forward and back)... and the number popup started. To answer your question on the steps....Tools, Options, Remote Control, Commands, Start Learning, highlight "Thearter View:Home", press yellow buttom on remote. It may be interesting to note that I also use a Logitech Harmony remote with a key mapped to the yellow key on my Media Center remote. The popup also occurs when I use the Harmony,.... which I assumed it would. For now, I programmed Theater Home to another key, but I'd certainly like to be able to keep the same setups as I update MC.
