Can't leave full screen
« on: August 09, 2010, 06:40:39 pm »

I feel like an idiot for asking this, but somehow I have gotten my video playback into full-screen and I can't get it out.  Can anyone help me get windowed display back?

Also, is there a way to set the default zoom to 100% for all videos?

Double click and escape should both work.

Nope, those both go back to the standard screen with the tiny video window in the bottom left corner.

Not sure how, but I had MC opening a window to show the video in.  Can't figure out how to get back to that...

Try the View menu in standard view.  Detached View should work.

Ctrl +1, +2, etc. also work.

Video normally is shown in display view, which remembers the last window size.  If at one point you maximized the window during playback, MC will go back to full screen the next time a video is played.  To return to smaller window, just move your mouse pointer to the top edge of the screen, a control window will appear.  Click the standard windows button on top-right corner to get out of full screen mode.

As well as the controls mentioned, the display's context menu should always include applicable items to maximize, window, detach, reattach, etc. What I find confusing at times is that if a PN view is in use anywhere, the display will "return" there—not to the small window at the bottom left corner. This should be obvious if PN is visible. But PN's display panel can be collapsed, PN itself could be in a collapsed view or a separate tab—and the display therefore not visible. I'm faring better since I put PN in at tab of it's own—so the display is always there and never in the small window at the bottom left corner. :-\
