I've had this program for over a year.  Never a problem with it.  Last nite i tried to burn a cd, and after i clicked to burn audio files, nothing happened, and below the tracks i had selected, at the bottom of the screen, it said "0 files"
When i tried hilighting the tracks and then tried to send them to "device", the words "cd burner" werent there.  It's almost as if it's not recognizing my burner any more.
I have windows XP, Hewlett Packard cpu.  Any ideas??

Another program may be hogging the drive.  Try disabling Windows XP burning.  Try uninstalling other CD burning software (just to see if it helps).

Reinstalling MJ might also work.

...and if it suddenly went away with no other programs installed at (or near) that time then I would say you may have hardware failure. Check the drive with other programs (do some read/write tests with RW disks, for instance). Look for Sandra on the web (it is a benchmarking program that will test your system...including your R/RW drives).

Funny, I had the same problem last night. First, MJ could'nt find the burner, then after a reboot MJ found the burner and it worked properly. Other apps still don't recognize the burner, though everything has worked fine for months.

Something may have changed on your machine.  Windows updates, for example.

There is a new release of MJ 8.0 that may solve the problem (if you use WMA files).  It's in the first post on this board.
