Indeed. Extremely neat and tidy.

In case anyone is wondering, you can hide the tree by double clicking the splitter.

Maverick, would you consider knocking up a stop button for me? I can do the xml myself if you could do the graphic. I know I can double click the pause button, I'm not sure why, but I just like to see a stop button there.

Also, in the xml, you have your website info in the email section, so the "Contact Author" link opens an email instead of opening a browser page.

Might I also suggest that you point people towards your custom icon set as they work so very well with this skin, adding a whole new level of 'completeness'.

Regards,
-marko

Edit: If I can find time, I will experiment with the tab bar. With eight tabs open and several links in the links bar, I would like a subtle visual indication of where the tab bar ends and the links bar begins, but am not sure if it will spoil the overall look. The attached file shows my rather busy tab bar...

Maverick, have you considered creating your own "List_Lasso.png" (see default skin items directory)?

The default blue feels quite out of place to me.

Shouldn't there be a way to get it back—with the mouse? ?

Good idea. I wouldn't have realized if it weren't for this comment.

But is there a way to change the icon set with the skin? I prefer the standard icons with other skins. So far, it seems all I have to do is disable Custom Resources\Images.xml, but...

And, speaking of icons, what happened to the Fullscreen/Windowed icons?

+1. My bar is crowded too. I'd also prefer to see more visually distinct tabs, including a bolder indication of which one is selected. I agree, however that might be done, it would have to be subtle so as to not spoil the overall design. :-\

Well first of all thank you for the positive comments and bug reports.
I will update the skin soon, as i said in the description.

The stop button will be also supported, and i upload it separatly tomorrow, if you want. (you will see it looks nuts ^^).

To the icons:
I wanted to add the icons too, but im still thinking which way is the easiest to install them. (for unexperienced users)
...rick.ca...what you mean with "what happend to the fullscreen button?" don't you like it? ^^

List Lasso => don't know how to use it =/

Tree border => will fix it somehow

Well iam only using the MediaCenter for listening music, thats why i neglect some features like the tab-bar or the list lasso.
But if you look the active tab has two white borders. Maybe i have to enforce the effect a little bit for ppl with darker monitors.

If I saw it, I'm sure I'd love it, but I'm seeing the word "Fullscreen" instead. But wait...that's what your screen shot shows too...and now I see that's an image you're using. I use a different font, so it looks rather strange. It also uses up valuable space.

Fabricio, a change such as that would fundamentally change the skin design, and speaking personally, if such a change were implemented, it would be for the worse and I would not use the skin.

It's a tricky business. In comparison to FusionX, I like the cleaner look and addition of some details in X2. But I seem to need the lighter, higher contrast of FusionX. X2 might work for me if it were lighter, but it's obviously meant to be "dark." But that's okay, maybe Maverick07 will make some improvements to FusionX, or I can study both excellent designs and figure out how to tweak them to my preferences. :-\

sorry guys it took a lil bit longer than i expected.

I fixed all of the "bugs" for better usability - sometimes design isnt everything  ;D
but i still want to know how to use the lasso tool? oO (sorry as i said im only listening music)

rick.ca:
Looks like your monitor is a bit to dark coz on my one i see everything clear and iam using only 30% brightness.

No, I think it has to do more with my ageing eyes and brain. My monitor is calibrated generally the way I like it. For most MC skins, I tend to use Skin Effects to reduce brightness and boost contrast—so it's contrast rather than brightness I seem to need.

This led me to an interesting discovery. The appearance of the menu was one of the things that caused me to feel it was too dark. When I compared this to your sample, I realized something was quite different. My menu was harder to see mainly because the font was smaller. Paradoxically, this was because I was using a larger font. I suppose the program is adjusting the menu font based on the room available—which must be less because my larger font is used elsewhere in the bar. Whatever—I've found another font that's just as readable and doesn't do that. :-\

The tab bar works nicely now.

Click and hold the right mouse button. Then drag diagonally to draw a rectangle (the "lasso") to select items. It's convenient for selecting a range of values listed in a pane. But I don't care what you do. I've replaced List_Lasso.png with an erotic image that makes selecting items much more fun. ;D

hey guys, took a little bit long, but i updated the skin again...
this time i replaced the Sliders, add the Stop button, made the buttons smoother and some small edits...
so whats your opinion of the new sliders? ^^
Does it look kinda "strange" that both are the same? And ye, skin would look better without stop button but many ppl required it....

Release will be this week.
After the release i will make a new skin with transparent elements and a little bit futuristic. Or maybe a skin based on the standard Win7 Aero Theme.

Nice one. Do you think you will update FusionX also?

One issue I fixed is the rating image. It really lacks a small dot when no star is showing.
Otherwise you're always guessing where to click to give a 3 star rating.

I like FusionX2 and Itunes FuxionX. Thanks, Maverick07.

For Itunes FusionX, i did a stop button and new rating (star).

You have to randomly try to hover stars to find them, which is not very user friendly from my point of view.

me again,
i finally updated the skin.
Took a lil bit longer than i expected it coz i was to lazy in the last weeks ^^

Its an "unnofficial" release coz the skin is finished to 99%. Maybe i have to make some minimal changes but thats it.
The new NoCoverThumb will be also updated at the final release.

so if you detect a bug or something you dont like, post it before i will upload it in the following days.

Oh and yea maybe i will make another X2 with some green/lime elements.

Finally, after a half of a year, ive had again some time to update the FusionX2 skin.
I re-edited nearly all buttons, for a smoother and more realistic interface.

Download link, as always, at my first post.

(and ofc later on the main accessories page)

Once again an update, but only with two changes...

- The Next and Previous Button is smaller now
- Selected Objects are in iTunes/Windows Blue now (if you don't like it, you can change the Skin-Effect to Greyscale)

uuuhhhh Maverik07 .... just what I liked most about FusionX2 was that it was the LEST  "itunes" of your series....
mmm
I like the smaller buttons, but I DONT like the blue color..... and chosing grayscale is a lowdown, I change skins a lot (to avoid getting bored ha) and that is NOT an option....

Pleaseeee keeeep FusionX2 2.2 coloring????

Any way, your work is cool

The first one is the main theme with a display from the X3 + white searchbar

Second one has light green glowing buttons instead of white

Another theme is also in progress - FusionX2 Dark
The dark theme will also be released in toxic and maybe in cyan / lightblue

Any chance of getting a version of each of these wonderful skins with a stop button? Not being able to completely stop playing a file can cause some issues if you then tag a file  that is paused.
