Found a compatability issue between MC and another program
« on: January 19, 2011, 01:40:17 am »

THIS IS A COPY OF WHAT I SENT ACTUALTOOLS.COM
I have found a compatibility issue between AWM 6.x through 6.3 and JRiver Media Center.
J.RMC crashes if I detach the display more than once in a session if I don't create an exclusion for:
Title - Media Center Display
Windows class - JRiver Display Container Window
Windows caption - Display
Program - C:\Program Files (x86)\J River\Media Center 15\Media Center 15.exe

Details:
AWM 6.3
MC 15.0.172
Win 7 x64 Premium

I have a four screen setup (3 mon' + TV) and find AWM to be a requirement for all my needs especially for moving windows from screen to screen.
I also find MC a requirement for my home network of media devices as it is the only one available that can do everything I need.
So basically what I am saying is they have to play nice with each other or unfortunately I will be forced to look for another app similar to AWM.
This will really upset me due to how good AWM has been for me over the last few years and the time I have invested into customization with it.

I have made literally hundreds of change combinations in both, trying to get them to play nice but it just isn't working. I went as far as
disabling every feature in AWM other than the move to monitor quick keys for all programs.

I will supply anything I can to help solve this conflict.

NOT A COPY I did give them a link to MC though.

We'll provide a license if they will take a look at the problem.  They can email me.  jimh at jriver.
