Help

I have installed the new update and discover all my settings in theater view have gone.

Can I bring them back?

I have tried to use the new system but where you have Video then Movie I used to have Video then Category.

I cant seem to get the set up correct.

I am not very good with this and it has taken me years to get it right now its gone.

So all my customizing in theater view was a waste of time?

The whole thing has changed and I cant see which movies I have watched and which I haven't.

Warning: Theater View Customization will be reset:
11. Changed: New stock views for Theater View (requires one time over-write of user customization).
More details on why this happened are here.

The above warning in the build 81 release thread is quite clear. "The price of progress" comes into mind. Sometimes you can't make an omelet without breaking eggs. Did you read the linked "more details" thread? (... and the further link in Matt's post that leads to: http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=63805 )

I have not tried to customize anything with the new system yet, but you should be able to create views that do what you want.

Of course, one can debate if JRiver should only do biggish changes like this when the MC version is still considered as beta, but that has never been JRiver's style to do things. MC has always been in constant development.

LoL I love the omelets and eggs, my partner always says that and I always think OMG not again.

I am trying to work with what MC has produces and have maybe started a new look.

One other thing the exit button does not seem to work anymore with the mouse.

I use Obsidian Touchscreen.

Trying to get some organization back into my images in theater view

I want to reproduce the directory structures (or directory view) that currently exist in Standard view in theater view

Is there a simple way to do this?

EG directory view is

Images
 Categories- (Boats)
   Sub categories (chivers,Leeder.Stacer)

Manually to do this will take weeks  due to my extensive library

I have been at this for days any help is greatly appreciated.
