Hello DEV,

One of the recent builds of MC has removed ALL choices for Smartlist fields containing lists (delimited etc)....making the editing of existing lists impossible and creating new ones a complete hassle. To wit:



My custom "chart" field should show 10 entries - yet it now shows none. Typing in these choices is not my idea of "smart"....

Can we get an update on why this was changed and can we get it back to the way it was?

This is a bug.  The filtering isn't working correctly with list-type fields or OR conditions.

We'll try to get both fixed in a coming build.

The idea of filtering is that values that don't match other rules should not be shown.  A simple example is a smartlist where you start by picking an artist, and then move on to an album.  It doesn't make a lot of sense if the list of albums contains thousands of albums.  It's better if it contains only the albums that match the artist you selected in step one.

If a value you need is being filtered, it's just a bug.

This is a bug.  The filtering isn't working correctly with list-type fields or OR conditions.

In case you hadn't noticed, the parens get removed as soon as you add a new row.  Since they get removed, existing OR relationships revert to cumulative ANDs, which seem to further limit the list values presented.
