Red October filter settings
« on: July 01, 2011, 06:20:18 pm »

Hi,

Is there a way to access the settings of the Red October filters? I can access the MadVR settings when right-clicking a playing video, but the others are greyed out as auto-configured. Also if I select RO with additional filters. To access the LAV splitter/ LAV audio settings do I have to register the LAV filters and use Windows merit playback? If that's the case, can an "RO (HQ) with manually configured filters" option be added?

Yeah, I would also like to know those filter settings.  I've been trying to duplicate the RO settings in the windows merit environment.  No success yet.

I believe it is in the registry somewhere, or maybe in the AppData folder.

Try searching Interact.  Someone posted it a while back.

If you use Red October, please don't try changing filter settings through registry hacks.  You'll void your warranty.

I'm not about to do that. I was just wondering if there's a way to use RO but still be able to tweak the settings of the filters used by RO. Is registering or installing the filters (I don't have the LAV filters currently installed except for internally in MC) and using RO with extra filters and selecting them through File types the way to do it?
