Theater View Comes Up Blank
« on: July 09, 2011, 04:03:21 pm »

I've been using MC 16 for a while on desktop PC. Recently installed on a laptop. Theatre view comes up as a blank screen. I can press the hardware "play" button on the laptop and get audio. Would appreciate suggestions for how to resolve.

Two things to try:

1) Update your video driver

2) Lower the setting in Options > General > Video Card

#2 worked. Thanks as I never would have figured that out on my own.

What type of video card is in the laptop?  Did you update the driver?

Could you use Help > Logging, and post these lines that get logged when entering Theater View (the numbers at the end will be different):

0008081: 2692: General: CDXCore::Initialize: Choosing adapter
0008081: 2692: General: CDXCore::Initialize: Testing capabilities
0008081: 2692: General: CDXCore::Initialize: Adapter: 0
0008081: 2692: General: CDXCore::Initialize: Vendor Id: 4318
0008081: 2692: General: CDXCore::Initialize: Device Id: 1728

Thanks.
