New user setup help

Trying to use MC16 with Hauppauge HD-PVR and can't configure the device.  Errors about MPEG2 demuxer.  Also, can MC16 be used as an external player in XBMC?  I'd like to run just the player and not the whole GUI.  Thanks or any help and/or advice.

Install ArcSoft Total Media Extreme that comes with the device so MC can use ArcSoft MPEG-2 Demultiplexer.

I have it installed.  Sill won't let me configure.   ?

Are you getting the same errors after the installation of ArcSoft software?
