Seeking in MKV with MPEG video = hang.
« on: September 18, 2011, 02:55:26 pm »

Running MC 16.0.176 using RO Standard

When watching a large MKV video with MPEG2 content (DVD content), seeking by grabbing and sliding the progress bar or using the arrow keys results in the program hanging.  Anyone else seeing this?  Any suggestions on what to look for if it isn't a universal issue?

Please try using the JRiver audio engine.  It looks like it's been disabled in that graph.

To enable:
Options > Video > Advanced > Audio playback device > Same as device used in audio playback

If it still doesn't work, would it be possible to provide a sample video?

Thanks.

That change didn't help, but the problem isn't the video it is something with this system.  Playing back/seeking in the same files on my HTPC works fine - it is just on the main library system that things are not right.  Any easy way to do a full reset of playback settings to 'factory default'?  I know I was messing with DVD playback at one point trying to get deinterlacing to work (running in a VM so no hardware deinterlace) and somehow must have messed up all MPEG playback.
