Cover art will not paste to J River?
« on: October 12, 2011, 04:50:24 pm »

I have a few albums/Cd Covers I can't get to paste from various sources I use for cover art.  Any tips on what best to do?

Funny two classical Listings with Long Album Names and I can't get the Cover art to stick, I have tried copying and pasting and acquiring form Internet both the same result. Art holds for about 5 seconds and those goes blank.  Don't get it, I have just created my 400+ Library, all the other cover art is fine.  Is it my Long Album names, I have others with longer names?  Any help or tip would be appreciated THANKS

You're probably right about the long album name, although this hasn't been a common problem.

Could you post the exact artist and album name?

Thanks.

Here they both are, I like the long titles for quick viewing on my pda.

Brahms Violin Concerto & Concerto for Violin and Cello by the Philadelphia Orchestra with Eugene Ormandy, Issac Stern on Violin & Leonard Rose on Cello

Tchaikovsky & Brahms Violin Concertos  Heifetz with Chicago Symphony conducted by Fritz Reiner

Thanks.

The problem is the length, as we try to save cover art to [Artist] - [Album].jpg, and those names will exceeds the maximum path length for NTFS.

Let us think about how we might handle these cases.  I suppose long names could be terminated after 30 or so characters when building a cover art key.

Ideally, you would put the orchestra in the orchestra field, the conductor in the conductor field, etc.  This way, you can cleanly browse and build views around the information with Media Center.

I can shorten the name, let me fool with that.  Thanks for your quick response.
I like having the long name for Classical for viewing with my pda.
