Under MC's options for filetypes, are the formats set to be played automatically?

How is your HD PVR connected to the STB?  Your log shows that you are using YRYBY.  Are the audio cable connected to the connectors on the back of the device?

I use composite on the front.  That seems to be the only difference between your device and mine.  If TME works, then connection is not the problem.

While the video is playing, right click, go to "DirectShow filters" menu, and click "Hauppauge HD PVR Crossbar".  On the resulting property page window, select "Audio Decoder Out" from the "Output" combo box on the right-hand side.  Make sure the Input combo box shows "Audio Line In".  If not, change it and click Apply.  See attached screen shot.

Jim - I have all audio and video selected in File Types.

Yaobing - Still no luck.

HDPVR connections: Video YRYBY for best picture quality, Audio spdif optical.

The input combo box showed Video. Changed it to Audio Line In.

Thanks,
Rod

If your audio is spdif optical, then I think you should select "SPDIFDigital" instead of "Audio Line in".

Not just selected, but set to "automatic".

"Automatic" was selected.

"If your audio is spdif optical, then I think you should select "SPDIFDigital" instead of "Audio Line in"."  Changed to spdif and it WORKS!

Thanks very much for all your good help here - great to have it finally going. This evening I'll try to play more with TV and recording, but it's so good to know that we now have video and audio with our HDPVR on MC.

Could I suggest that some kind of instruction sheet be available for HDPVR users. I'm not sure how many would have the patience to go through all we did here and might just give up in disgust.

Thanks again,
Rod

PS I'll try to give another report in the next couple of days after we have had time to really use TV.

I am glad it is working now.  I should have thought about audio routing earlier.  Because Microsoft MPEG-2 demultiplexer is what gives me audio trouble, I focused too much on that area and overlooked the obvious.

Yaobing - No Problem, you got it solved - thats the main thing.

Now that I have Live TV working I just tried to do a recording. It recorded okay but I get playback errors.

Think Ill start a new thread for this so in the future people might find it in a search.
