wrong thumbnails
« on: November 04, 2011, 05:36:21 am »

hi,

I have a problem with mediacenter showing wrong thumbnails for my video files.
I have presentations that contain images and video files (in pairs)

jpgs are named:
10_00123_000.jpg

videos are named
10_00123_ZZZ_randomtext.mov

for some reason jriver grabs the jpg and uses it as thumbnail for the movie file.

here's a screenshot:

any idea how I could solve this?
many thanks

By default, the program assumes a single image sitting next to a video is the cover art.

You can manually pick files > right-click > Cover Art > Remove Cover Art to break the link.

Actually in my context the best would be if it wouln't show any image at all so the files are easier to recognize as movie files.
Also I have 5000 files so I can't do this manually (since the presentations always get updated)

looks like the problem is the encoding of my video files (Apple Motion Jpg A)
If I drop them in an empty playlist they show without thumbnails while the same videos in .mp4 format show with thumbnails.

does anyone know if there's a way to get thumbnails for those files?
