Gizmo and Volume Control
« on: December 04, 2011, 05:09:27 pm »

Hello,

I just upgraded Gizmo and J River to 17 recently, not sure if this is related to that or not.  I used to be able to hold down the volume change buttons on my phone (Galaxy S) and have the volume change rapidly on Media Center.  Now it takes 5 seconds to change 10% (I timed this a few times, all were between 5 and 6 seconds).  When I'm watching TV the commercials are always too loud, so I want a way to quickly change the volume.  Previously this changed fast enough that I didn't feel the need for this, but now I feel like I need a mute button on the Gizmo 'Theater View Remote.'

Is there a way to track what's in the development pipeline for Gizmo and make requests?  Thanks in advance.

We recently added better Bluetooth remote support.

But this has the side-effect that we often get notified about media key presses two ways.

So we added an anti-repeat, and this is what's causing you trouble.

We'll take a look to see what we can do.

Please try this build, I think it'll fix the issue:
