MC16 - Import : weird behavior
« on: December 27, 2011, 11:45:29 am »

Hello,

I'm using MC16 and try to import a folder which contain a large number of audio tracks. I've carefully edit the tag of each track in order to have one compilation (basically : all tracks have the same album name)

When I try to import the folder, MC split the files into five different albums, and all have the same name :

I don't understand, did a miss something (tag) ? I tried several "tools" (cut and paste), without success (I'm quite sure I'm doing this wrong :-[).

Howdy,

Some of the tracks have Album Artist set, some only have Artist.  Since this is a various artists album, set all Artist tags to the correct artist for the track.  And select All the tracks and either clear Album Artist -- to have MC default to using the phrase "(Multiple Artists)" -- or set Album Artist to a single name you want to identify for the album.

Add field columns Album Artist, Album Artist (auto) and Artist and you can see how it is working.  Don't fill in Album Artist (auto) - MC does this for you.  See:
