my own special crash
« on: May 16, 2002, 05:12:54 pm »

Hi.  I haven't found anyone else having this problem, but MJ 8 crashes (and the computer spontaneously restarts) frequently, whenever I access the CD Burner (like clicking on in in the menu on the left).  Exact Audio Copy (EAC) also has similiar problems, and I don't know which is causing the issue, but it's really frustrating to me to lose playlists whenever I try to burn them (not to mention whatever else I'm working on).  I'm running a Pentium 4, Windows XP, the latest ASPI layer from Adaptec, and Norton Antivirus Corporate Ed., but the problem happens whether NAV is enabled or disabled.  If you have any advice for me, please let me know.

Hi there.

Reboots are almost always a hardware / driver issue, so it may be worth digging for updated drivers or firmware for you CD drive.

Let us know what you find out.

Thanks.
