Track# sorting problem
« on: January 16, 2012, 09:28:09 am »

I'm having a problem with a few tracks not properly sorting by track#

Here's an example.

Notice that # is the 1st sort column, but track #11 isn't properly sorted.

I've tried changing the track#, moving the track to a different album, even converting it to a different file format. It still doesn't sort properly. I didn't see anything about it in the weird problems thread.

I have about 5 tracks I've identified that exhibit this behavior.

Any ideas?

Have you checked the Disc # number field values? Internally the disc numbers are included when files are sorted by track numbers.

For example:
1st  disc 1, track 1
2nd  disc 1, track 2
3rd  disc 1, track 3
4th  disc 2, track 1
5th  disc 2, track 2
6th  disc 2, track 3
7th  disc 3, track 1
8th  disc 3, track 2
9th  disc 3, track 3

6th  disc 2, track 3
7th  disc 3, track 1
8th  disc 3, track 2
9th  disc 3, track 3

That was it. I collapse multi-disc collections into one album, so I'll just remove all the Disc # info from my tracks. Thanks.
