Recommended CCC settings with ROHQ
« on: February 15, 2012, 02:44:55 am »

I have an ATI Radeon HD 5670 and running ROHQ, what are the recommended settings for CCC?  In particular, should I turn all of the following OFF?  Any other important settings (other than resolution/refresh rate)?

-Edge enhancement
-De-noise
-Mosquito Noise Reduction
-De-blocking
-Enable dynamic contrast
-Enforce Smooth Video Playback
-Use automatic deinterlacing

What about the "Advanced Video Color"?  Uncheck all of the following that if checked can set a value?
-Color vibrance
-Flesh tone correction
-Brighter whites
-Dynamic range
-Video gamma

Are the gaming settings irrelevant?

Thanks!

IMHO, you should turn everything off.
With the only exception maybe being Dynamic Range, set it to 16-235.

Of course opinions and preferences differ, and some people like having a post-processed image.

Thanks Nev, your opinion is not so humble given your experience and work!

Is it common for users to have to use the A/V sync delay?  I have to set it to around 40ms at the moment...is this a function of the decoding/rendering?  Or should MC automatically adjust the output of the audio based on your video settings?

Finally, do the changed madVR settings "stick" when MC is updated?

Thanks, Ben

I have to use around 200ms because my TV adds that big delay, i think its quite normal.

They should, yes.
