Not sure, but it sounds like a hardware or aspi problem. See our aspi help page for how to check and/or install a new aspi layer from Adaptec:

To John T - Regarding my memory leakage prob's with MJ within Windows 98SE. It doesn't seem to matter what I'm doing in MJ, the memory just leaks away & RamBooster is constantly "Optimising" to compensate.  But I have noticed that in build 8.0.266 that it doesn't appear to be as bad as it was in some of it's predecessors. It actually goes up sometimes now rather that constantly waisting away, but eventually RamBooster has to cut in again & restore things, but it's a lot better.  I'm just about to download the latest build, so we'll see how that goes.

I also notice that the left hand MJ menu doesn't have any dashes linking the various components e.g. Playing Now, Media Library, Playlists, CD DVD & Hand Helds, TV Tuner, Web Media & I'm sure it use to, or am I wrong?

Kindest regards - Rusty.
