First, are you using the latest v17 (build 106)?

If so, could you provide a sample?

I'm matt at jriver dot com.

Thanks.

The file you emailed did import and play for me.

I wonder if the filename length is the issue?

I didn't get part one (only the later parts) of your last file.

Could you send the first part again?

Thanks.

I still only have 2, 3, 4, and 5.

Maybe you could rename file 1 and send it again?  Maybe your sending side doesn't like .zip?

I don't think I have any filters on my side.

Thanks.

I've got the file, and confirm we can't import it.

I need to step it in the debugger.  I'll follow-up when I know more.

The MP4 you sent me is a corrupt file.  There is junk after one of the tag atoms.

iTunes can't read the tags, but does allow playback.

Is it possible you tagged the file with a third-party tool that didn't do a good job?

I'm going to try to update our MP4 parser to be more forgiving of tag corruption like this.  However, the MP4 format doesn't really lend itself to sloppy data editing since it uses lots of exact byte sizes that reference other parts of the file in the header.  Stream-type formats like MP3 are more forgiving since junk just gets ignored by the decoder.

you are right...ther is somthing strange with this file...

i reencoded the file with xld on a mac and now on the mac-side itīs looking good - itunes can read all tags but still woant import to mc17..
i reencoded with a diffrent setting in xld "correction 30 sample offset"..-.

thats the solution for me :D

iīll try other files an will report if this is the final solution for me...

thanks for the hint
