As a recent Hulu Plus subscriber, I can say with 100% certainty that I won't be getting a cable subscription in order to watch TV online.

In other breaking news, I won't be getting a land-line phone in order to make cell phone calls. Or ordering out for delivery when I cook dinner.

eeeeeeeek! That would suck.   >:(

that goes double for me.

What about folks that get their TV straight off the airwaves? Many areas still have decent reception with digital broadcast TV, why should they need to buy pay TV when they already get the major networks for free?

that would be me.

I cancelled Direct TV about 12months ago.

I get about 20 channels with my long range TV antenna in two states.

Do you live on the state border line, or do you have an incredibly long aerial? ;) :D

A Bit Of Both

I am 55 miles from S.C.

I also have two antennas.  One an omnidirectional antenna, and the other a directional antenna with a Rotor, both with a pre-amp, and then with an amplified 4 way splitter.

this is a website that can predict your reception based on your antenna height and your location, some days I get more stations.

this is a listing of the stations I can get (some depending on the weather)

I have A Tivo Premiere XL to record the channels for me.

If Tivo Ever makes a 4 tuner DVR for over the air broadcasts i would buy one.

I'm in Oz and use Hulu via StrongVPN. I DEFINITELY won't be signing up for a US cable connection  ;D
