Media Server Setup Support
« on: May 03, 2012, 09:31:10 am »

After Benchmark Media Systems made some recommendations it was suggested to me from Benchmark that I also forward this email to you at J River for any suggestions about software configuration.

PS: I like the your software its very classy and impressive. After reading an article from Audiophile online I purchased it.
Thank You
Stephen

Thank you for reading this email and I hope you assistance will help
me. Some time back I purchased your product called a DAC 1, probably 5 or
more years ago. Just within the last few weeks I have purchased a es juli@
sound card, J River Media Center software and have had 30 feet of fiber
optic cable installed threw my walls from the office to the living room area
where I have the Dac1 sitting on a hifi rack. The sound card and software
support 24 bit 96 music files but most of my music is ripped from cds to
Flac audio files, about 500 hundred of them. This is a very elaborate system
more then of audiophile quality,  with Conrad Johnson amps and preamp, a
magnadyna labs tuner, a top of the line thorens turntable and your dac now
being feed buy a cd transport. I am installing the J River media center on a
good pc that uses windows 7 as a operating system on a Dell Precision 3500
computer and it will be left in the office and remotely operated using an Samsung
android tablet.
From my past experience using you dac 1 with the outboard  CD Transport
I believe you product is more then capable of handling this task and buy no
means being the weak link in the chain. If you are familiar with this
hardware or software can or will you recommend any setup procedures or
software setting that would assist me in getting the most accurate
reproduction of music out of the setup.

Sincerely
Stephen
