Recording tv, TS files are huge. Any option for reducing size

using a HomerunHD tuner to grab stuff off cable. a single 1 hour recording was 15GB! Is there an option to reduce the quailty of the recording Tivo had good/better/best. I just want a 300-500meg .AVI file or something like that.

I use the HDHomeRun as well, and my 1 hour recordings are half that size.  I can't imagine that you would get an hour of HD TV anywhere close to 500MB.
