Hi,

I am trying to record tv (dvb-s2) with ts format. Playing recorded ts file within media center shows a different programm than I intended to record.
Viewing the same file with vlc shows the right programm! Is media center recording several streams within one ts file and showing the wrong one???

Recording works with jtv format.

Any ideas?

Yes I have deleted some channels, but the bigger problem is: I added channels manually because in Germany several new HD channels were added to astra satellite a few months ago and were not find by channel search of MC. I had the problem already with windows media centre where I had to add a new xml satellite file to make windows media centre find it.
So, solving the problem of not recording in TS-format would mean to me to add lots of channel manually. Or is there a solution for channel search to find new astra HD channels?

Try the more thorough but slower scan option when scanning for channels.

If new transponder frequencies have been opened up from Astra then the satellite XML file may need updating with the new transponder.

Deep scan did not help. I have to add new responders. Where can I find the sattellite xml file?

The files are in [MC installation folder]\TV\DVBS\
