Copy data to Notepad is limited ?

trying to sort this one out before version 17 is "done"

i have problems copying data from MC to Notepad when the total number of characters goes above about 1,050,000 characters...

is this just me and my RAM that's limits me or is it MC..i have no problem copying a lots of text/data between other applications

could it be a bug ? i would really like to copy more than the number above

We never put more than 2MB of text on the clipboard.

The limit was set a long time ago, and I don't know why.  The comment in the code isn't particularly detailed.

If there was an issue, it would have been with some other program because we don't mind huge strings.

I'll bump the limit to 16MB for the next build.
