DSP EQ preset
« on: July 21, 2012, 09:26:21 pm »

Hi
I have seen this reference concerning a plugin preset tool;
http://sourceforge.net/projects/autoeq/

It looks to be made for the band EQ.  I would be great to save the Parametric EQ1 and 2 information and recall them as we wish..

Is the sourceforge tool can do it?

What is "Auto" about this?  There is no description on the sourceforge site.  By the way, your link is bad.  It should be:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/autoeq/

What does it do that MC17 DSP Equaliser doesn't.

Nick.

I don't use it much, but AutoEQ seems to work fine.

What is "Auto" about this?

It can tag each file with an EQ setting, and, if activated, automatically applies that during playback.

This can be very usefull.
Can it be done with the parametric EQ or just for equalizer?

I don't understand Parametric EQ, but I think it's safe to say just for the Equalizer.

Hi rick
Lets say that the equalizer is the one shown on the AutoEQ site image.  It's like an analog equalizer with fixed frequency bands.  In  MC17 DSP options, it is the equalizer (by memory... my dedicated PC is closed).  This band equalizer image on the site page is why I asked the question.  There is no descriptions.
IMO the 2 other DSP MC17 EQs are parametric EQs.  They allow to define parameters like frequencies cuts, bandwith (Q), gain and slopes, low-pass, high-pass and other filter types.

I think it could have been named PEQ like many referred them here, but they do more than usual PEQs so...??.
