Export/Import
« on: October 29, 2012, 03:45:32 pm »

Media Center 18

I have a dual boot system with Win7 & Win8. I wish to export the JRiver playlist on Win7 and import it to my JRiver on Win8. The folder that has all the music is the G drive on both Windows OS. I did the export and the list looks fine but will not create the playlist in the new Windows JRiver. Any ideas?

Did you Import the playlist on the other side?

Yes, but I did not look at the "Imported Playlists" on the "New" JRiver. DUH I guess it makes perfect sense as a place to put it. I just expected it to pop up where it was in the original install. Thanks

One thing I did notice it removed all the album art on the new JRiver from all the songs imported on the playlist.

Newly imported files require updates to the MC thumbnail cache.  You can select all the files and build the thumbnails.

The files had the thumbnails until I imported the playlist. When I look at the files, only the ones that were not on the imported playlist had thumbnails.
