How to change drive letter "only" in JRiver?
« on: December 02, 2012, 07:24:57 pm »

Hopefully someone has a easy solution for this.  Is there a way to change the drive letter (only) within the filename/filepath in JRiver..(while keeping everything else the same)?  In the past, I had (2) 2TB external drives supporting all my data needs flowing into JRiver.  I recently purchased a 4TB drive and set up the files within it to look identical to what was on the (2) 2TB drives.  The older drives will now serve as backups of the 4TB.

Simple example: (2) 2TB drives (D: & E:) in JRiver currently videos (D:) and music (E:).  Now 4TB is (D:) which links all videos but how do I change the (E:) in JRiver's filepath/name only to a (D:) so it easily links the audio from the one drive and not have to redo 20,000 audio files?

Thank you in advance for the help! :)

Try this:
Pick files > right-click > Library Tools > Rename, Move & Copy Files

Put it in 'Update database to point to new location' mode.

Then use Find & Replace to switch E:\ to D:\.

You might do a few files before doing them all.
