Videos don't have cover art anymore
« on: December 22, 2012, 05:34:19 pm »

Since I upgraded to MC 18 from MC 17 none of my videos have thumbnails anymore. "Rebuilding" doesn't seem to help either.

Any ideas?

18.0.103 fixed that problem.  It's at the top of the MC18 board.

Thanks. That seemed to help with the thumbnail creation issue.

Is there some spot where thumbs for videos are created? My old thumbnails are bigger than the new ones. I looked in my folders to see if they were created as .jpg's but I couldn't see any. This may be a setting I changed. Any idea where it is?

I see the good sense in having them in the same folder now, hee hee.
Is it possible to "export" them from the old MC version?

Thanks for the help.

You can't access thumbnails directly, but you can change the size you see on the screen.  There is a thumbnail slider in the upper right corner of Standard View.

THanks again. I'm like deathly sick with something and totally doped up on drugs so everything is a challenge.
;)

Last question... it looks like some thumbs are picking up the wrong aspect ration perhaps? They are in portrait instead of landscape, and they have bars at the top and bottom.

Not sure what the pattern is... some are avi's and some are mkv's, so it's not the container. I wonder if they all use a particular video codec or something?
They all seem to play fine though.
