trouble adding a song from i-tunes library to media center
« on: December 30, 2012, 04:40:12 pm »

I am having difficulty importing a single song, or full cd/file for that matter, from i-tunes library to media center. Is there a way to do this without importing the entire i-tunes library?  I did try the import a single file option from the library tab under file tab at the top of the page. I get to the part of choosing the file from "browse" but when I hit finnish it says 0 files uploaded.  Any suggestions?

You should be able to simply point Tools > Import > Import a single folder to the folder where the media files reside.

Alternatively, you can drag the file or folder onto MC to import.

Are the specific file types enabled under Tools > Options > File Types?

Thanks.  I was able to drag and drop it from itunes.  It will not let me import the file though.  Odd. Any other ideas as to what I need to do to import the files rather than drag and drop(if the need ever should arrise).

Create a Smartlist, and use the Import/Export button to enter exactly:

   ~d=b

Are the files listed?

Now, change the value to:

   ~d=r

Are the files there?

I'm thinking you might have either imported once, but removed the files, or the files are considered bad by MC for some reason.
