Occasionally MC Theaterview forces itself to the front over other Windows

I've only discovered this since launching Netflix in a browser from Theaterview.

Every so often, maybe  every 10 hours or so, seemingly randomly, Theaterview will jump to the front, over the top of the playing video. The video keeps playing and it is not so hard to alt-tab back to it, but what could it be that triggers this?

Windows 8 ??  Just asking as when I tried mc on windows 8 when launching an external player from theater view the theaterview kept flashing in all 4-5 sec. For approx 1 min. Then when the movie was running randomly I had theaterview popping up again....weird. The exact same hardware with windows 7 didn't do that.
