Linking songs together
« on: March 15, 2013, 07:28:55 am »

I'm hoping to revise interest (and development!) of this feature. Last discussed in MC17 forums.

+100.

There are a bunch of tracks that simply do not sound right separated from their conjoined siblings. Heartbreaker/Living Loving Maid immediately comes to mind....:)

I’ve inquired about this before … but, count me in!

I ran into this when putting songs in a playlist that I wanted to stay together (recently the Sneaking Sally Through The Ally trio).  It would be great if MC did it, but using Audacity (free) to link them together and then re-adding them to the library in a different album/Title worked for me.

It's a work around, but I wish MC could link them for a playlist when you shuffle it.

Sounds like a great idea - I would definitely not want to merge the audio together via an editor to create a new file. Doing this to create a new "virtual" file that ensures all selected tracks are treated as a single entity in MC would be a great feature to have.
